Dear All,
As from last May (2012), blog.davidvassallo.me was approved to show “WordAds”. You notice that each page and article displays an advert. This generates a small revenue (about $4 a month). Seeing as that my blog is mostly about linux and other open source projects, I decided on using this revenue to donate it back to an open source project, minus the money needed for hosting (give or take about $20 a year).
I would like to donate the money to a project which is chosen by my readers, so on the blog homepage you will notice a poll giving you a selection of project which you think the money should go to.
The money only gets paid out once it reaches $100 dollars, so this won’t be very regular or frequent, but it’s my way of contributing something back. After every payout I will cycle the selection of projects on the poll to contribute to.
If you know of, or are a developer of an open source project that I can review, please contact me via this form, and I will gladly try the project out and include it in the next cycle of polls.
Thank you all!

nice choice on the check_mk
I’m sure the little bit of money will help them most
Thanks for the feedback ASDF. Make sure to vote and spread the word. The aim here is to increase such projects’ visibility with the general public, and giving them some real-world appreciation and value seeing as that I personally use all these projects and find value in them.
